Product Overview
Digital Project - Systems Routing is the dedicated application for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in the Gehry Technologies' Digital Project suite of applications. As such, it is a conceptual design application which provides system planners the ability to reserve the space needed for eventual functional and detail layouts of HVAC, raceways, and plumbing. By designing within the context of a project, integrity of the systems with the surrounding environment is analyzed, interferences are avoided and different disciplines are free to optimize their designs knowing that their spatial needs and installation sequences have been taken into account.

Product Key Customer Benefits
Systems Routing delivers an easy-to-use interface optimized for route definition. Users can define systems directly in 3D or derive 3D representations from 2D drawings, establishing logical lines, assemblies, groups or networks of routes. Routing is easy with mouse-based functions and user-defined grids making maneuverability simple and effortless.
Systems Routing provides an advanced 3D design set of capabilities enabling the user to design more quickly, manipulate parts more easily and modify existing data seamlessly.
As a virtual 3D representation of the systems model emerges, derived benefits include the ability to generate and track a Bill of Materials to facilitate understanding of material needs.
The workbench provides the user with parametric parts catalogs for working with systems of ductwork, conduits, piping and tubing. These starter catalogs allow the user to become productive immediately. Parametric parts are linked with design tables in Microsoft Excel, enabling the parts to be easily sized at the time of placement. Users can also define their own catalog part geometry.
Using Digital Project Systems Routing, users can model the initial space claim by simply defining the geometry and size of the runs which are used to define the desired route. This allows spatial considerations to be analyzed early in the preliminary design process and for users to uncover potential problems early in the design cycle when they are easier, faster and less costly to correct.
